Buttercream- we can flavor this pretty much any way you like*- chocolate, vanilla, lemon, orange, raspberry, coffee, white chocolate, peppermint- the possibilities are almost endless!

Chocolate Ganache- a rich chocolate icing made with cream and bittersweet chocolate

Cream Cheese Icing- the original! also great flavored with lemon or orange zest, or in traditional vanilla

Decorations:

Our talented staff artist can help you come up with virtually any design you wish. Or, for a $5 fee, we can decorate your cake with fresh or silk flowers. Writing and basic designs are no extra charge. Elaborate artwork is priced based on complexity.

 

Out of season fresh fruit is available for an extra fee based on market prices.



 

 

Wedding Cakes:

We can accommodate your wedding cake and pastry needs for parties from small intimate affairs to large galas. Please call us to make an appointment with our cake decorator at least one month prior to your event. Wedding cakes require a 50% deposit at time of ordering with the balance due 1 week prior to delivery date.

Delivery of wedding cakes is free within a 10-mile radius. If you are holding your wedding elsewhere (ie: the coast, Southwest Washington, Columbia River Gorge), there will be an additional fee of $25 per 10 miles outside our delivery area.

Stacked wedding cakes (ie: no separations between tiers) are no extra charge.

Cakes with columns between the tiers require a $50 deposit for equipment (ie: plates, columns, stands, etc.) plus the rental cost. This deposit is refundable when equipment is returned. Equipment must be returned within one week of your wedding, or the deposit is forfeited.

Basic set up is included in the cost of your cake. If your cake is elaborate and takes longer than 1 hour to set up, there will be an additional charge of $25/hour to set up your cake.

Once the cake is set up and the Sweetness employees have left the premises, we are no longer responsible for anything that happens to the cake.

Sweetness Bakery is not responsible for any damage incurred to a cake due to inclement weather, auto accidents involving the delivery vehicle, or any other unforeseen events that are out of our control. We make every effort to make sure your cake is delivered in perfect condition; however, sometimes unforseen events will occur.

Wedding Cake Pricing:

Wedding cakes with buttercream or cream cheese icing have a base price of $3.00 per serving. This includes basic decoration such as icing pearls or piped borders. Pricing for more elaborate design work is based on complexity. Fondant-covered cakes start at $4.50 per serving. For elaborate designs made of fondant, please speak to our cake decorator about pricing and availability.

Due to legal reasons, we will not place non-edible decorations on your cake that are small enough to eat; ie: sequins, crystals, etc. You may add these later to your cake; however, Sweetness Bakery is not responsible for any injury incurred by items added after the cake is delivered and set up.

Flowers and Fruit:

We are more than happy to decorate your cake with fresh flowers to match your bouquets and decorations. If you provide the flowers, there is no charge to place them on the cake for you. However, if we provide them, there is a $25 fee for pick-up, plus the cost of the flowers. If the flowers that you want are not in season, silk flowers are usually available, or we can work with you to come up with an alternative. Please be aware that not all flowers are safe to put on cakes. If your wedding flowers are a variety that are poisonous, we cannot put them on your cake. Here are a few flowers that are safe to put on cakes:

Fresh fruit is also a wonderful way to decorate your cake. In the summer, fresh berries are in season and look and taste dynamite. In the fall, small apples, pears, and grapes create a harvest theme. Or small citrus fruit in the dead of winter can add a welcome splash of color. Please speak to our cake decorators for any ideas you might have.

 

Small Pastries and Cupcakes:

Here at Sweetness, we love to make small pastries! We can work with you to make a variety of small pastries, bars, decorated cookies, and cupcakes for your wedding if you like.  Small cupcakes are $1.50 apiece, with a swirl of delicious icing. If you would like more elaborate decorations, your cake decorator can work with you. Small pastries and bars start at $1.50 apiece. There is an extra fee for disposable platters, plus a refundable deposit for stands and non-disposable platters.

 

*Unfortunately, due to allergies, hazelnut and pistachio flavorings are not available. Sorry!
